After the battle, America's involvement in Vietnam increased into a full on war. The war became America's war and many more Americans would get killed in Vietnam and many more would return home scarred mentally and physically. Many more battles happen in Vietnam with US troops. At the end America signs temporary ceasefire with North Vietnam concluding the release of American POWs (Prisoners of War) and withdrawal of American troops from Vietnam within 60 days and hostilities to cease between North and South Vietnam. Shortly after American withdrawal, the North breaks the treaty and launches a full scale invasion on South Vietnam causing North Vietnam to take over South Vietnam uniting the nations into one Communist Vietnam, thus ending America's longest conflict.
